Coopek ("Coopek," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website coopek.am, an educational service that helps people build saving habits through short lessons, an interactive savings calculator, and a free email course. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Coopek is an educational company. We are not a bank, we do not hold your money, and we never ask for bank account details, card numbers, or other financial credentials.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we collect

Data you give us directly. When you sign up for the free 7-day email course, we ask for your name and email address. If you contact us by email or through social media, we receive whatever information you choose to include in your message.

Data collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically record basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page, and timestamps. This data is used for security, performance, and aggregate traffic statistics.

Savings calculator. The calculator on our homepage runs entirely in your browser. The amounts, periods, and scenarios you enter are not transmitted to us and are not stored on our servers.

What we do not collect. We do not collect financial account information, government identifiers, payment data, or any special categories of personal data. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

3. How and why we use your data

We use your personal data only for the following purposes:

  • To deliver the email course you requested — one short lesson a day for seven days, sent to the address you provided. Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the sign-up form.
  • To respond to your messages when you contact us. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in communicating with people who reach out to us.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website, including preventing spam and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe, functional service.
  • To tell you about new Coopek lessons or courses, only if you have signed up and only until you unsubscribe. Legal basis: your consent. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

We will only email you what you asked for. We do not send unrelated marketing, and we never sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, strictly to the extent needed:

  • Hosting and infrastructure — our website is hosted on cloud infrastructure that processes visitor traffic (including IP addresses) to serve pages.
  • Email delivery — the addresses you submit for the course are processed by our email delivery provider solely to send you the lessons and manage unsubscribes.

These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. Some of them are located outside the Republic of Armenia; where that is the case, we choose providers that offer an adequate level of data protection and appropriate contractual safeguards.

We may also disclose data if required to do so by law or by a valid request from a competent authority.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Coopek uses only the minimal cookies and browser storage necessary for the site to function, such as remembering your language choice (Armenian or English). We do not use any analytics tools, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels, and we do not track you across other websites. If we ever introduce analytics, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Course and mailing list data (name, email) — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After unsubscribing, your address may remain on a suppression list solely to make sure we don't email you again.
  • Correspondence — as long as needed to handle your request, and up to 3 years for record-keeping.
  • Technical logs — kept for a short period by our infrastructure providers for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized.

7. Your rights

Under the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On Protection of Personal Data" — and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation — you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • withdraw your consent at any time (for emails, just click "unsubscribe" in any message, or write to us);
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Republic of Armenia or, if you are in the EU/EEA, with your local supervisory authority.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the limited data we hold.

9. Children

Coopek is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Language versions

This Privacy Policy is published in Armenian and English for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy between the versions, the English version prevails.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. If we make material changes — for example, introducing analytics or paid courses — we will post the updated policy here and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
